The districts of Aveiro, Beja, Braga, Coimbra, Faro, Leiria, Lisbon, Porto, Setúbal, Viana do Castelo are under orange warning until 21:00 today due to the forecast of northwest waves of five to six metres that can reach a maximum height of 10 to 11 metres.
From 07:00 on Sunday, the warning drops to yellow, with a slight reduction in wave heights, with waves between four and five metres high.
The Madeira archipelago is also under yellow warning today, with strong seas expected on the north coast and on the island of Porto Santo until 6:00 am on Monday, with the possibility of waves up to five metres high.
Also on the mainland there are yellow weather warnings due to the forecast of strong winds, as is the case in the districts of Coimbra, Faro, Leiria and Lisbon, with the IPMA predicting gusts that could reach 85 km/hour.
