According to Sul Informação, Igor Korbeliak, president of the Association of Ukrainians in the Algarve, said the association has been “working with city councils and the High Commissioner for Migration in order to arrange documentation”.
Most of those who will travel to the Algarve have family members or acquaintances already there.

Welcome welcome lets house them in airbnb properties. Lets rebuild communities not have soulless towns full of empty properties that only seek to exploit tourists.
If your property is not your main residence it should be used to house refugees.
Time for some radical rethinking of who we are and what we want.
Time that the people that actually live here have a say in how we want the algarve to develop
I am sick of tired reading headlines about the hotel industry and the tourist trade
Look around our towns and neighbourhoods and see how they have destroyed
them. They care nothing about the people that live here, only their greedy pockets.
Towns full of shops selling the same plastic rubbish from China.
Let's enable the industries of the future, that will pay more than just the minimum wages.
Let's build back communities, not seasonally deserted rental properties.

That’s it ‘James’, fill the town with people that have no money to spend, business will die quicker, then what?
Like it or not, tourism keeps Portugal alive and a lot of people employed.

The reality is the tourist trade only benefits a very few.
The touristy industry is highly seasonal which creates ghost towns for more than six months of the year.
The tourist trade only pays minimum wages .
Time to listen to those that actually here, not the greedy few that have gutted our towns and communities with the horrific Airbnb short term rentals charging outrageous prices.
Sequester all short term rental properties and offer them to our Ukranian brethren fleeing for their lives.

‘James’ wants the government to take peoples property and give to others, but it’s not ok for Russia to do the same. Hypocritical James.
