With a hands-on approach that combines development expertise with exceptional guest experience design, the duo is redefining upscale hospitality by bridging the gap between here: real estate investment and exceptional guest experience. With decades of experience developing and operating projects in the sector, BOA Hotels is now expanding into Greece and the Douro region after its debut in Porto with the upscale aparthotel Village by BOA. Through a model based on key values such as excellence, loyalty, and success, BOA Hotels is committed to generating sustainable value while creating unique destinations. As Lior Zach explains, "Our vision is to create exceptional guest experiences while delivering strong returns for investors by blending upscale hospitality with strategic investment approaches."
What inspired the creation of BOA Hotels, and how did the initial vision shape the company?
Lior Zach: BOA Hotels was founded on the idea that hospitality should be more than just an operational business—it should be a seamless integration of development and exceptional guest experience. From the start, our goal was to ensure that both investors' interests and guest satisfaction were at the core of everything we do.
George Vinter: From a real estate perspective, our model is built to create sustainable assets that offer high returns while maintaining strong operational efficiency. We identify opportunities where we can add value through smart design, strategic positioning, and a long-term vision that benefits both investors and guests.
How does Village by BOA as an aparthotel align with your vision for redefining upscale hospitality?
Lior Zach: Village by BOA was created because we saw a gap in the market—most aparthotels offer standardized accommodations that lack the refined services guests expect from a true upscale experience. We wanted to change that by combining the comfort and privacy of an apartment with the attentive service and amenities of a high-end hotel.

What do excellence, loyalty, and success mean to BOA Hotels, and how do these values differentiate you from other hotel groups?
Lior Zach: Excellence is about crafting hotels that exceed guest expectations through outstanding service, sophisticated design, and operational efficiency. Loyalty is our commitment to long-term partnerships with investors, ensuring transparency and shared success. Success means consistently delivering value—not just in financial returns but in creating hotels that stand the test of time.
Your international expansion into Greece marks a significant milestone. What drew you to this destination, and how does it fit into BOA Hotels' long-term strategy?
George Vinter: Greece is a natural fit for BOA Hotels. It is a market with strong tourism fundamentals, increasing demand for upscale hospitality, and a unique cultural and natural landscape. Our expansion into Greece aligns with our strategy to bring our expertise to destinations that have the potential for both real estate value creation and operational excellence.

What can you tell us about your new project, Douro, a 5-star wellness-focused resort surrounded by 26 hectares of vineyards and orchards?
Lior Zach: The Douro Valley project is particularly special because of its location in a UNESCO World Heritage area—one of the most beautiful and culturally significant regions in Portugal. We are designing a hospitality experience that aligns with the region’s history, nature, and growing demand for wellness tourism.
What makes BOA Hotels an ideal partner for developers and investors in the hospitality sector?
George Vinter: BOA Hotels is the perfect partner for investors looking to maximize returns while ensuring their property remains well-managed and future-proof. Our expertise covers every stage—from sourcing and developing high-potential properties to overseeing daily operations and maintaining long-term asset value.
What is your long-term vision for BOA Hotels, and where do you envision the company in ten years?
Lior Zach: In ten years, we see BOA Hotels as a leading name in upscale hospitality, recognized for its ability to create properties that guests love and investors trust. Our long-term goal is to build a curated portfolio of hotels and branded residences in key urban and resort markets, each offering a unique sense of place and identity.
