Prime Minister António Costa defended the strengthening of cooperation with China and recalled that Portugal is a doorway to large markets such as the European Union (EU), Latin America and Africa, mainly due to its relationship with Portuguese-speaking countries.
Costa argued that the recovery of economies hit by the impact of the covid-19 pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine now requires other stimuli and results.
It's shocking that after what has been going on over the past few months Costa is still entertaining increasing business deals with authoritarian dictatorships.
