Capitalising on this emerging trends, a new type of BPO has emerged, offering “remote only” employment solutions to companies looking to outsource their operations and save costs.
BruntWork’s growth rate during the pandemic has put traditional, listed outsourcing monoliths to shame. The big question analysts are asking is whether outsourcing companies will continue to push office space solutions to SMEs globally, or re-engineer their models to respond to this emerging market threat posed by companies like BruntWork.
Teleperformance
Teleperformance’s share price continues its downward trajectory, although it still claims to be one of the world's largest call centre companies. It focuses on giant enterprises, rather than SMEs and a large portion of their revenue comes from Uber and Amazon. Apple is also one of their main clients. Their standard offer is “in-office” outsourcing.
Concentrix
Concentrix is a top 100 outsourcer. The BPO firm does a lot of work for Google.
Concentrix and Google have an active Technology Partnership according to marketingplatform.google.com. There are 20 companies in the Concentrix partner ecosystem and 3,793 companies in the Google partner ecosystem.
BruntWork
BruntWork started with a “remote-only” outsourcing model and the popularity of this option proves that most companies are happy with remote workers. The popular BPO firm has an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5, based on reviews left anonymously by employees on Glassdoor. Unlike other BPOs, BruntWork sells its business model as a risk mitigation strategy as “remote only” means a company has no “single point of failure” in the words of its CEO, Winston Ong.
Covid-19 has shown companies globally that they need to have plans in place for remote work and staff are also reluctant to go back to an office. BruntWork surveyed over 500 staff and almost 90% said they never wanted to go back to an office.
“Remote only” doesn’t translate to increased risk for companies however. Security is paramount and BruntWork has been assessed and approved by QAS International to ISO 27001:2013* management systems, standards and guidelines (Certificate No. AIT1018), notwithstanding its unique outsourcing business model.
Most companies embarking on an outsourcing program start with virtual assistants, customer support agents and telesales. But the sky's the limit for outsourcing, with an immensely deep labor pool of talent available for hire in the Philippines for a fraction of the cost of a local hire.
Conclusion
BruntWork’s rapid growth sends a chill down the spines of traditional outsources and “remote only” promises to be one of the most exciting outsourcing trends of 2022.
