The IPMA had previously placed only the districts of Beja and Faro under a yellow warning, to be in effect between 06:00 and 12:00 on Thursday and between 06:00 and 15:00 on Friday.
In an update, the IPMA also issued a yellow rain warning for the districts of Lisbon and Setúbal, between 12pm and 6pm on Thursday.
The IPMA also issued a yellow warning for the districts of Castelo Branco and Guarda due to the forecast of snowfall above 1,400/1,600 meters between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm today.
The minimum temperatures will fluctuate today between 3 degrees Celsius (in Guarda and Bragança) and 14 (in Faro) and the maximum between 12 (in Guarda) and 22 (in Faro and Setúbal).
The IPMA also placed the Central group of the Azores (Faial, Pico, Terceira, Graciosa and S. Jorge) under yellow warning due to rain that was sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunder until 3pm today.
The IPMA predicts for today in the western group of the Azores (Flores and Corvo) periods of very cloudy skies with good clear skies, increasing cloudiness towards the end of the day, and weak to calm southwest wind, gradually turning to the northeast.
In the central group, generally very cloudy skies are expected, periods of rain and sometimes heavy showers, conditions favourable to the occurrence of thunderstorms and a weak to calm southerly wind, rotating towards the east.
For the eastern group (S. Miguel and Santa Maria) the forecast indicates periods of very cloudy skies with open skies and a fair to moderate southeast wind, turning to the northeast.
In Santa Cruz das Flores and Angra do Heroísmo temperatures will vary between 16 and 21 degrees and in Horta and Ponta Delgada between 17 and 21 degrees.
