Ferrari executive chairman Benedetto Vigna said during the presentation of the new 2022-2026 strategic plan to investors at the group's historic headquarters in Maranello, northern Italy, that "electrification is a way to improve the performance" of Ferrari vehicles.
The manager also confirmed that Ferrari's first all-electric car will be presented in 2025, as planned.
The commercial director of Ferrari, Enrico Galliera, said, in turn, in an interview with AFP, that “the first all-electric car from Ferrari will be 100% sporty”, without revealing other technical details.
“We are going to develop an electric car that will provide the same emotions than when driving a traditional Ferrari”, assured Vigna at the time.
The car manufacturer plans to expand its factory in Maranello and create a third production line dedicated to the manufacture of hybrid and electric vehicles.
