Compared to the previous quarter, between January and March,
house prices rose by 1.7% in the euro area and 2.1% in the EU.
In the year-on-year variation, all Member States showed
increases in the indicator and exceeded 10% in 18 of the EU countries, with the
largest increases being observed in the Czech Republic (24.7%), Estonia (21.0%)
and Hungary (20.6%).
In Portugal, the indicator increased by 12.9% year-on-year
and 3.8% in the quarter.
Asking prices. Asking prices are up. They are not always 100% the same as final selling prices. If I raise 12.9% and it doesn't sell I could as well raise 500%, right?

Spot on DPX, market value is what someone is willing to pay and another is willing to accept.
Asking prices might just indicate an upward trend, but with rising interest rates people might not even be able to borrow that much.
