“The ministers of Internal Administration, National Defense, Environment and Climate Change, Agriculture and Food and Health have decided to proceed with the declaration of the contingency situation, which will be in force between the 11th and 15th of July […]. This means that we have preventive conditions so that we can automatically and preventively activate all emergency and civil protection plans at all territorial levels”, said José Luís Carneiro.

According to the minister, forecasts indicate that the worst days, in meteorological terms, will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, when temperatures above 45° are expected in some parts of the country.
