Brownies is
part of Girlguiding, the leading charity for girls and young women in UK.
Girlguiding is active in every part of UK and around the world through British
Girlguiding Overseas (BGO), in places where it is impossible or inappropriate,
for reasons such as language or culture, for girls to join local organisations.
It gives girls a space to be themselves, have fun, build friendships, gain
valuable life skills, and make a positive difference to their lives and
communities.
Girlguiding
builds girls’ confidence and raises their aspirations, giving them the chance
to discover their full potential, encouraging them to be a powerful force for
good. Girlguiding has sections for age groups from 5 to 18 years.
Safety and
security of girls is paramount, so all leaders are subject to recruitment checks,
receive training and follow the Girlguiding Code of Conduct and safeguarding
policies and procedures.
If you or
your daughters, aged 7-10, want to be part of the fun, find out more on the
Girlguiding website where you can register interest in being a Brownie or adult
helper.
