Our celebrant will be His Eminence the Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich, Archbishop of Luxembourg. The Cardinal is holidaying in Carvoeiro and has kindly offered our community this Mass in English.

Cardinal Hollerich is Pope Francis’ choice of moderator for the world-wide Synod 2021-2023. Every parishioner in the world has been invited to give their opinion on the Catholic Church to the Synod by responding to the consultation process on the theme of “For a synodal Church: communion, participation and mission”. That period is now over and the collection of data is now being analysed by the Synod Consistory led by Cardinal Hollerich as Relator-General. His brief rest time in the Algarve is precious and we are most grateful for his kind attention.

Mass on Sunday will be in English: the readings, the hymns as well as the Order of Mass. Everyone is most welcome even if you do not normally attend this church. There will be refreshments after the service.

We are having a special cash collection for the FOOD BANK during this service. Please come and give generously. We support over 100 families in need.
