“The Government of Canada has announced the removal of all Covid-19 entry restrictions, as well as testing, quarantine and isolation requirements for anyone entering Canada, effective October 1, 2022,” the Canadian government announced on its official website.
The executive invokes the improvement in the epidemiological
situation and the high vaccination rate in the country for the total lifting of
restrictions, although they continue to “strongly” recommend the use of a face
mask when travelling.
“We believe this
decision will greatly facilitate travel, help stabilise the country's air
transport industry and support Canada's economy,” said Craig Landry, Executive
Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Air Canada.
Don’t be fooled, those were temporary restrictions that are due to expire.
If there hadn’t been an expiry date for the temporary restrictions they would of kept them.
Wake up people !!
