In a statement, the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP
(Cometlis) explained that the traffic restrictions, in the vicinity of the José
de Alvalade Stadium, will take place in three phases, from 17:45 until 19:15.
The first phase of this operation will take place between
17:45 and 18:17 on Avenida Professor Fernando da Fonseca (between Rua
Professora Eduardo Araújo Coelho and the roundabout Visconde de Alvalade), on
Rua Alfredo Trindade and on the exit ramp from Avenida Father Cruz.
Between 18:15 and 18:45, phase two of this police operation
takes place on Avenida Professor Fernando da Fonseca (Between the Visconde de
Alvalade building and the Visconde de Alvalade roundabout).
The third phase takes place between 18:45 and 19:15 on
Avenida Professor Fernando da Fonseca and Rua Alfredo Trindade.
“The action of the PSP will be to minimize the impacts of
these constraints, ensuring the needs of safety and road traffic in the
affected places”, justifies the PSP.
Sporting Clube de Portugal welcomes Marseille on Wednesday,
starting at 20:00, in a match in the 4th round of group D of the Champions
League.
The Portuguese team, coached by Rúben Amorim, leads group D,
with six points, two more than Tottenham and Eintracht Frankfurt, while
Marseille is in last, with three points.
