The easyJet flight, which was traveling from Agadir (Morocco) to Glasgow (Scotland), had to make an emergency landing at Faro airport, due to the disruptive behaviour of a passenger that caused safety concerns, writes Britain's New Channel.

Portuguese police removed the passenger from the plane, and he was detained.

"Once the passenger exited the plane, the flight was able to continue to Glasgow," said a spokesperson for the airline, adding that "cabin crew are trained to assess all situations and act quickly and appropriately to ensure the safety of the passenger on the flight".

The spokesperson also stated that these types of incidents are "rare", that they are taken "very seriously" and that "disruptive behaviour on board is not tolerated".

"The safety and well-being of our passengers and crew is always a top priority for easyJet," he highlighted.
