"A basket of essential foodstuffs currently costs
210.82 euros, 27.20 euros more (14.81%) more than it cost on February 23, the
eve of the beginning of the armed conflict in Ukraine and the date on which we
started this analysis" according to the consumer protection organisation.
In the last eight months - between February 23 and October
26 -, the three products that saw their price increase the most were fresh
hake, oranges and white sugar, with increases of more than 40 percentage
points, according to the data.
