The PAN party has also seen the government approve - with votes
against from Chega and the PS, the abstention of IL, and the favourable votes of
the other parties - a proposal that predicts that next year the Government
"promotes the necessary steps to implement and execute a program of
incentives for the sustainable management of agricultural habitats, within the
scope of agro-environmental measures, with a view to the effective preservation
of ecosystems”.
The creation of a national, regional, and local climate
change risk atlas, proposed by Inês Sousa Real, was also approved.

The best news for the environment the eucalyptus trees are the worst possible fire risk, and they are invasive to the indigenous species.

Portugal has known that about for decades - DECADES. They simply did not do anything about it. No vision, no care about the environment.

This is really good news as we all need to be conscious of our environments.

This is excellent news! Eucalyptus trees suck up much of the water from the ground adding to the problems caused by drought, they are a fire risk, burn easily in fires but can regenerate afterwards, they do not support native species, and they are invasive!
