According to the site: “More and more Americans are
considering moving abroad in search of a better quality of life, safety and
good weather, and Europe has long been a favourite destination that checks
these boxes. But one European country in particular has been much talked about
throughout 2022 as a highly sought-after destination to live in: Portugal”.
During 2022, searches for Portugal each month topped 41,200,
demonstrating a year-on-year increase of 30 percent, and knocking long-time
favourite Spain off the most desired country to live in.
My Dolce Casa continues: “In 2022, Spain was Americans'
second favourite country to live in, with 38,900 average monthly Google
searches, up 9% from 2021. At a great distance behind was Germany, with 15,300
searches, followed by Ireland with 13,200 and Italy, surprisingly only in fifth
place, with a combined 12,600 searches per month.
“Moreover, Portugal saw the highest percentage and net
increase in Google searches compared to the previous year, when Spain was the
definitive leader, with 35,400 monthly searches in 2021. Simpler, less
stringent immigration requirements and lower taxes have given Portugal an edge
over Spain. It is worth noting that Portugal is about five times smaller in
size compared to Spain, which makes this tiny but mighty country's achievement
even more impressive.
“With a combined 80,000 Google searches per month, the top
two countries dominate the ranking, making the Iberian Peninsula the hottest
region in Europe this year for U.S. citizens looking to relocate abroad”.
My Docle Casa cites the lifestyle, safety, weather and
availability as some of the top reasons behind the boom in interest but claim
that the top reason for Americans to move to Portugal is the cost of living: “But
possibly the most compelling reason of all is the lower cost of living compared
to the United States, and particularly the (still) affordable home prices. With
an average price per square foot currently at $135, houses in Portugal are 3-5
times cheaper than home prices in many cities in California or in the
North-eastern United States”.
That's a crying shame as not wanted.

I sincerely hope that these are not going to be Brandon's Americans! They voted for this America, and they should stay put in their holes they helped create! Their derangedness is not wanted here, in this lovely, traditional and conservative country. We need people to come here who have family values, ethics and morals, know the difference between a man and a woman, do not seek to destroy society, and don't cater to the worst of humanity. Those who first destroy their own homes, and then have the audacity to move away, to go and destroy others' - STAY WHERE YOU ARE!

Hopefully, only the open-minded ones are coming. We don't need MAGA Republicans coming here by any means. Please stay away. And I'm American so I can say that. This is a democratic-socialist country and we want to keep it that way.

So a touch over one-hundredth of one per-cent of Americans search on "Portugal" and that is inferred to be property searches and definitely not football or anything else.
I know the winter months are slow for Agents, but Please !!

What foreigners look for in Portugal is a place with no rules and generalized impunity.

Wait until all the Americans find out the realities of living in a primitive, backwards, corrupt society where people lie, scam and thieve as much as possible.
