The group, who did not disclose investment figures for the
project which had previously been the Pestana Blue resort, said that “Tivoli
Hotels & Resorts continues its expansion in Europe and announces the
opening of a new property in Portugal”, located in the Algarve.
“The Tivoli Alvor Algarve Resort will open in the first
quarter of next year”, highlighted the company, stating that “the NH Hotel Group will operate the five-star resort, following an agreement signed with
Azora, a company owner of the property, together with which NH already manages
the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Algarve Resort and the Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort
in Portugal”.
According to Tivoli, “the resort, which is currently closed,
will be refurbished in order to offer the highest standards of service of the
Tivoli brand”, adding that “with this opening, the brand will enter the all-inclusive
market, reinforcing its leadership in the leisure segment in the Algarve”.
“Presented as a family hotel, the Tivoli Alvor Algarve Resort
will have 470 rooms and suites and will include amenities for the whole
family”, said the group, noting that the hotel covers “more than 112,000 square
metres and “four restaurants and two bars”.
According to the company, it also has sports facilities,
including “a golf course, paddle, and tennis courts and a gym, as well as six
swimming pools, children's clubs, a multipurpose sports field, and spa”.
"The expansion of Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, with
upcoming openings in Portugal and Spain, demonstrates the company's clear
priority in growing this brand, which will lead the growth of the NH Hotel
Group with new luxury resorts in some of the best holiday destinations in
Southern Europe," said Ramón Aragonés, Executive Chairman of the NH Hotel
Group.
The Tivoli Alvor Algarve Resort will be the brand's sixth property in the Algarve and is located 600 metres from the sea and close to the village of Alvor.
