According to the SMAQ website, the strike will have the most impact between "00:00 on January 4, 2023, and 24:00 on January 5, 2023", when workers "from the categories represented by the SMAQ" are "on strike to perform any and all work".
On the other hand, "between 00:00 on January 3, 2023, and 24:00 on January 8, 2023, workers in the categories represented by the SMAQ are on strike to provide overtime work".
The union also reported its demands in the note, highlighting the need for "effective wage increases and appreciation of the Traction Career", the "improvement of working conditions in the driving cabins and social facilities" and the "safety conditions on the lines".
The union guaranteed that "it never strikes for the sake of strike", assuring that it is "always a form of struggle" that it only uses "as a last resort".
"Naturally, as is our prerogative, we are always willing to sit down at the table to find a point of an agreement if the CP presents the necessary proposals and solutions, without further delays and vague declarations".
CP - Comboios de Portugal foresees disruptions to traffic between the end of January 3 and the beginning of January 6, due to the strike called by the SMAQ, the company said on December 30. CP explained, in a statement, that it foresees disturbances to circulation with "special impact" between the end of January 3rd and the beginning of January 6th.

For the 4th and 5th of January, minimum services were
defined, which can be consulted on the company's website, for Alfa Pendular and
Intercidades services; Regional, InterRegional, and International; Urban Trains
from Porto and Coimbra and Urban Trains from Lisbon.
CP will refund the total amount of the ticket purchased to
customers who have already purchased tickets to travel on Alfa Pendular,
Intercidades, Internacional, InterRegional and Regional trains, or "their
free revalidation for another train of the same category and in the same
class".
"Refunds can be requested at ticket offices and at
cp.pt by completing the online form, sending a scan of the original ticket, and
indicating the name, postal address, IBAN, and NIF, up to ten days after the
strike ends ", highlights the company in the press release.
"The free revalidation can be done at the ticket offices and at myCP in the "Your tickets" area (for tickets purchased at the online ticket office and CP App) up to 30 minutes before the departure of the train from the customer's station of origin".
Can we please get the folks a contract once and for all. This situation needs to end.

I would pay their current needs and then fire all the train drivers, this would stop this madness once for all. The current drivers just don't want to work man, that's the truth!
