"For the fourth consecutive month, the growth of these deposits slowed down: it went from 3.7% in January to 2.1% in February", explains the BdP.
Net subscriptions to savings certificates increased by €2.6 billion, advances the banking supervisor.
At the end of February 2023, the stock of corporate deposits at resident banks was 64.1 billion euros, 1.8 billion euros less than in January. These deposits grew by 5.1% compared to February 2022, a slowdown compared to the 9.1% observed in January.
Why would someone trust their capital to banks which do not appreciate it adequately. Well done Portuguese.

No surprise whatsoever. Portuguese banks need to improve the way they do business and the way they treat their customers. They have a superior attitude and are still living in the dark ages. Savings options and rates are insulting, and there’s little in the way on incentives for customers.
