The Ireland Portugal Business Network (IPBN) is delighted to announce and invite you to the second edition of its Tourism Conference, which will take place in the Algarve on Wednesday, May 24 from 9h to 13h at IPBN member Quinta do Lago's incredibly scenic Clubhouse.
The IPBN dived into tourism and relocation at the greatly acclaimed Algarve Living webinar series in January 2021 during the COVID-19 lockdown and broadened it with the 1st edition of its Tourism Conference in Lisbon last September at the Universidade Europeia.
At this second edition, you will learn why you should visit the Algarve this summer and about the progress made in the region since the lockdown's end with keynote speakers Sean Moriarty, CEO of Quinta do Lago, David Simón-Santiñán, Head of Public & Corporate Affairs, Ryanair, Helder Martins, President of AHETA – Associação dos Hotéis e Empreendimentos Turísticos do Algarve and Richard Clingen, Owner and CEO at The Portugal News and a series of panel discussions.
The line-up of keynote speakers we have assembled are in a unique position to present the Algarve's popularity and further the conversation as to how its status as one of the world's best travel and holiday destinations will be refined in the future.
The first-panel conversation will be focused on wellness and health tourism with Elaine Godley, Health and Wellbeing Mentor 2022 at The Perfect Health HUB, who will be joined by Miriam Kerins Hussey, Co-Founder of Soul Space and Integrative Health & Wellbeing Coach on Lifestyle as Medicine and Prof. Joana Apolónio, Researcher & Scientific Project Manager at Algarve Bio Medical Centre.
The next panel discussion will be on the topic of tourism resort development trends, featuring some of the most important resorts in the region with guest speakers Sean Moriarty, CEO of Quinta do Lago, Alda Filipe, Managing Director of Kronos Homes (Vale do Lobo), and Katya Bauval, Executive Director of Vila Vita Parc Resort & Spa.
The final panel discussion will be on the topic of trending sport and leisure activities within the region with guest speakers from the Campus Performance Centre, the Algarve Tourism Bureau alongside the Vilamoura Sailing and Surfing Club.
Ending the conference will be three presentations from IPBN members promoting the authentic Algarve through sport, your own wine experience, and retreats.
We believe this conference will help you make your stay here the best possible and most memorable experience.
We invite you all to attend the conference in presence at Quinta do Lago and for our audience in Ireland, the conference will be broadcasted live on the IPBN YouTube channel.
