"President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's trip to Portugal is part of a common perspective of continuing to deepen the excellent relations between the two States", says Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa in a note released by the Palace of Belém.
The text explains that the State visit of the President of Brazil takes place at his invitation, between Saturday and Tuesday, on the first day with a ceremony at Praça do Império - Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, in Lisbon, in an official welcome ceremony.
After a meeting between the two heads of state, at Palácio de Belém, there will be an "extended meeting of the respective delegations", after which the two Presidents will make statements to the media.
At the end of the first day, Marcelo will host a dinner in honour of his Brazilian counterpart, which will take place at Palácio da Ajuda.
On Monday afternoon, the two Presidents will hand over the Camões Prize to Chico Buarque de Hollanda.
On the last day of the visit, Tuesday, the President of the Republic will be present at the solemn session organized by the Assembly of the Republic to welcome Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Portugal is being literally invaded by Brazilians, often you hear more Brazilian Portuguese than Europen Portuguese, they consider Portugal as a natural choice and there is no regulation whatsoever on what Brazilians are actually doing in Portugal - or any other nationality for that matter -, that's the "excellent relations" we have.
We stand firmly by Ukraine, Lula's not welcomed in Portugal or the EU.

I agree that there are so many Brazilians in Portugal. Many young women are illegally working as escorts. I say illegal because they do not declare their income to the Portuguese government. I imagine that some do but probably the majority do not.

There is a lot of misconceptions and misinformation about why Lula supports a mediated settlement in Russian. Read some history going back to around 2014. Then write something.
