According to Pordata data, in Lisbon alone, there are more than 118,000 foreigners, in Sintra more than 47,000, in Cascais more than 36,000, in Amadora almost 27,000 and Loures has almost 24,000.
By comparison, and according to the latest database update, in the Porto Metropolitan Area, there are around 70,000 foreign residents.
In the Algarve, there are 110,000 foreign residents, with the most residing in Albufeira (11,000).
The region of Portugal with the fewest residents from other countries is Alto Tâmega, with around 1,479, which includes Boticas, Chaves, Montalegre, Ribeira de Pena, Valpaços, Vila Pouca de Aguiar.
you can almost smell the fish and chips or hot dogs in those areas!
