Celina da Piedade, Duarte, Mallu Magalhães, Nancy Vieira, Oumou Sangaré and Pedro Mafama are some of the artists that make up the musical program of the 5th edition of this initiative, promoted by the Câmara de Évora.
“The decolonisation of thought” and “Gender equality” are the themes of this edition, which includes a varied program during the six days of the festival, highlighted the organisation.
In addition, this edition will receive 280 artists and guests from 11 regions of the world: Afghanistan, Angola, Argentina, Brazil, Cape Verde, Spain - Galicia and the Basque Country, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Mozambique and Portugal, for 26 shows from various cultural areas ranging from music to theatre, dance, performance and new circus, highlighted the organisation.
The initiative, which fills the streets and squares of Évora with culture, has all activities free of charge.
The festival is an initiative of Évora City Council, European Capital City of Culture in 2027.
