“The FPF management decided to equalise the funds for the women's and men's events until the sixth round, with the women's Taça de Portugal contesting a qualifying round”, reads a statement from the organisation.
In this way, presence in the qualifying round of the Women's Cup is worth €2,000 to the clubs, a value that increases up to the €12,000 allocated in the semi-finals [the sixth round, in the men's competition the semi-finals correspond to the seventh round, when each one of the four participants raises €17,500].
The winner of the 20th edition of the Women's Cup will earn €82,000, while the finalists will receive €66,000.
“This measure is another step on the path to the development of women's football in Portugal and fits into the investment strategy that the FPF has promoted”, highlights the organisation.
