Originally, it was thought that their service would end here as the batteries couldn’t survive the -250ºC night, but a Chinese mission has proved otherwise. The ISRA aren’t certain the spacecraft will reawaken but have taken the measures to maximise their chances.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission’s lander and rover have been put into ‘sleep mode’ by the Indian Space Research Agency for the upcoming lunar night, lasting two weeks.
