The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has accepted an invitation from the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, to visit Portugal with their teams “still working on the date” to make it happen.

Portugal has a housing crisis, low wages, high taxes, and an evaporating youth that are leaving to more prosperous countries.
It's a beautiful, but small, poor country on a downward trajectory should not be getting involved in a war it cannot afford. Portugal's contribution is insignificant, and literally did not change a thing, for the cost and risk of putting the country at odds with Russia. Terrible risk calculus.
