This is the 49th store in Portugal and the last of the expansion plan planned for this year.

“ This opening, the last of the 10 stores that the company decided to open this year, reflects Mercadona's bet on its expansion plan in Portugal, reinforcing its presence in the center of the country," reads a statement.

Thus, the "company ends 2023 with a total of 49 stores, of which, as of today, five are located in the district of Lisbon," the supermarket group announced.

This new store has created 90 new jobs, stable and of quality, with contracts without term from day one, contributing to the creation of local jobs.
