When Colette herself died in 1447, the marks of her own sickness and suffering disappeared.
She was also known for her gift of healing the sick and her ability to discern spirits. Colette was also known for her devotion to the Virgin Mary and for her practice of fasting and mortification.
Saint Colette died on March 6th, 1447, in Ghent, Belgium, at the age of 66. Her body was found to be incorrupt when it was exhumed in 1472.
