Most people know Spike for his very entertaining DJ career, taking him from his home town of Ashton, thru to Spain and around the UK & ending in Portugal.

He landed his dream job of Radio presenter working on and covering The Breakfast Show on KissFM Portugal, taking the reigns of the Sunset Reggae Show in 2014 and then the Lunchtime show in 2019.

Anyone who knows Spike knows he enjoyed life to the full, enjoyed socialising and was a devout Man Utd fan who always thought he could run the team better than whoever was in charge.

Vocal to the end, Funny, Larger than life and an all round good guy.

Spike will be missed by everyone who met and knew him, he knew how to light up a room when he walked in.

If you get to speak to his nearest and dearest, they can now reveal why he was called "Spike", as they were sworn to secrecy during his living years (and its not cause he was sharp) .. R.I.P Spike Hammond
