This year, SandyBlue was shortlisted as a finalist for four awards - Customer Excellence, Team of the Year, Outstanding Marketing/Branding Initiative and the Algarve’s Business of the Year. The awards gala took place on November 30th and was certainly an eventful evening.

SandyBlue wins two awards

The villa rental space is extremely competitive - not just here in the Algarve, but worldwide. So, the competition this year was strong. However, SandyBlue is delighted to accept two award wins.

The first success of the night came with the ‘Customer Excellence’ win. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. Our wonderful Guest Services Manager Suzi Bawden is the heart of the brand. Being considered a semi-finalist for the ‘Employee of the Year’ award last year indicates just how dedicated she is. From arranging airport transfers to helping guests throughout their stay, the team always receives glowing reviews from our guests.

For owners, Joy Franke is our Onboarding Manager who helps new owners join our portfolio. Walking them through every step of the way, including overseeing the legal and administration documents, her impact shows owners that they are in safe hands.

The second win was a strongly defended title as ‘Best Marketing/Brand Initiative’. Having won in 2022, it was a huge achievement to secure the win for the second time. This is a testament to the hard work the team puts in with exciting campaigns, engaging content and a big presence on social media.

For owners, we ensure their property is represented in the very best way so that their rental income reaches new heights. The marketing team is delighted to receive this award again, especially with such fierce competition.

SandyBlue was also a finalist for ‘Team of the Year’ and ‘‘Algarve’s Business of the Year’. Although we did not grab the awards, SandyBlue was announced as the runner-up for both categories. This alone is a huge achievement due to the amount of entries from great companies in the region.
