The resolution of the Council of Ministers determines “the adoption of a set of measures to mitigate operational constraints at Humberto Delgado Airport”, establishing that “within 120 days”, ANA must present “to the member of the Government responsible for the area of infrastructure projects related to the fulfilment of specific development obligations 13, 14 and 17”.

At issue is the “construction of rapid runway exits - runway 03 (current 02) - Implementation of Phase 2 of Rapid Exit H2”, which, according to the concession contract signed in 2012, should have been carried out between 2018 and 2021, but now has a new completion deadline of 2026.

It also concerns the obligation to build “multiple entrances on runway 21 (currently 20)”, which initially had to be completed between 2018 and 2021, but a new completion deadline was given between 2025 and 2027, as well as the “expropriation of warehouses in the multiple entrance area of runway 21 (currently 20)”, which should have also been carried out between 2018 and 2021, and which now has a new execution deadline of between 2024 and 2025.
