In a statement, AMN explains that after receiving information from the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA), responsible for carrying out the analyses, advising against going swimming on Conceição beach, instructions were given to raise the red flag.

Notices were also placed at the beach access points, prohibiting swimming.

This is the second beach in the municipality of Cascais, in the district of Lisbon, which was closed to swimming, due to microbiological values above the reference parameters

The bans will remain in place until the results of new water quality analyses indicate that the microbiological values are within the reference parameters, still according to the AMN.
