According to Marketeer, Ibis, Vila Galé and Pestana are the three hotel chains that have the greatest notoriety in the Portuguese market, among the list of brands analysed.
The conclusion is from the study “Tourism and Social Networks”, carried out by Marktest.
The brands that appear in the top 3 register a notoriety equal to or greater than 86% among the social media users surveyed. Next, in fourth place, is the Tivoli brand and, in fifth place, the Sheraton brand.
“Along with individuals aged 45 to 64, residents of Greater Porto, and those belonging to the upper classes, Vila Galé is in first place in terms of notoriety. Among individuals from the middle class, it is Pestana who assumes this position”, says Marktest.
The study also concludes that, among respondents who know one of the hotel chains analysed, almost half (47%) say they follow one of them on social media.
The “Tourism and Social Networks” survey resulted from 800 interviews carried out online with residents of the Mainland aged between 25 and 64.
