At maximum risk are the municipalities of Aljezur, Lagos, Monchique, Portimão, Silves, Loulé, Tavira and São Brás de Alportel.
19 municipalities in the districts of Faro, Beja, Portalegre, Santarém, and Castelo Branco are also at very high risk of fire.
According to IPMA calculations, the fire danger will remain high in some districts at least until Sunday.
This risk, determined by IPMA, has five levels, ranging from low to maximum, and calculations are obtained from air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and amount of precipitation in the last 24 hours.
Today minimum temperatures will range between 9 degrees Celsius (in Guarda and Bragança) and 18 (in Faro) and maximum temperatures between 21 (in Viana do Castelo) and 32 (in Évora, Beja and Faro).
