According to a note published on the official website of the Presidency of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa approved the “decree that authorises the Government to revoke the extraordinary contribution on properties in local accommodation, as well as the establishment of the aging coefficient applicable to establishments of local accommodation for the purposes of paying municipal property tax and eliminating tax obstacles to geographic mobility for work reasons”.
This proposal was approved on June 21st in the Assembly of the Republic, with votes in favour from parties on the right and against from the left.
