DiscoverCars.com analysed data on car rentals in Portugal in July and concluded which are the most popular.

"19% of people traveling to Portugal rented a Fiat car, with 8% of them choosing a Fiat Panda, which is the most popular model," says the car rental booking company.
Volkswagen comes next, and in third place is Peugeot, according to a report by NM.
On the islands, the Renault Twingo is the most popular model among tourists.
The study by DiscoverCars.com aims to understand which are the most popular car brands to rent around the world.

This may be true, but not because people want to drive a FIAT. The choice is usually about low rental cost. FIAT sells their cars cheap to the car rental agencies, as can be observed by the high number of FIAT cars in the car rental fleet in Portugal.
