According to La Informacion, there are French two-euro coins, issued in 2001 which are worth over €700. The obverse features the so-called “tree of life” and the motto of the Gallic republic 'Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité'.

However, they contain a number of minting errors, which make this coin a highly prized collector's item among experts.

The same publication mentions that the coin gains value due to the fact that the two '0' numbers from 2001 stand out from the silver border on the reverse, as well as some of the stars.

These coins are being sold on portals such as etsy.com, a platform for buying and selling unique items, for more than 700 euros.
