Italian publisher Mondadori announced that Pope Francis’s autobiography, “Spera” (Hope), will be released in January 2025 across over 80 countries in multiple languages to coincide with the Catholic Church’s Jubilee.

This marks the first-ever autobiography written by a pope, co-authored by Italian writer Carlo Musso over the past six years.
The pope had intended for the book to only be published after his death, but the arrival of next year's Jubilee of Hope and the demands of the present day convinced him to have it released.
