“The Maritime Police are evaluating with the ICNF (Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forests) and now with the municipal services of the Council [of Setúbal] to attempt to remove it, if in the meantime the sea does not take it away”, said the commander of the Port of Setúbal, Marco Augusto.
According to the person responsible for the Setúbal Maritime Police, the whale's body, “in a high state of decomposition”, was thrown into an area of rocks, next to the Secil cement factory.
