The Airbus A321neo, CS-TJR, was only able to return to Lisbon this Sunday, on the special flight TP9260, which landed at 1:27 pm, at Humberto Delgado Airport, according to the Aviação TV portal.
The plane originally flew from Lisbon to Ponta Delgada, last Wednesday, with an order for 132 hamsters, ferrets and some birds for a pet store. Upon landing, those responsible for baggage collection came across damaged boxes and loose rodents.
Faced with this unusual case, the maintenance teams needed five days to try to recapture all the animals, which made it impossible for the plane to return to Lisbon.
The A321neo, CS-TJR, from TAP Air Portugal, carried out its first commercial flight on December 3, 2020, between Lisbon and Paris, with capacity for up to 240 passengers.
