São Brás de Alportel’ "Coworking" space is now home to the Algarve Digital Commerce Accelerator Support Office, as part of a resource funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP). The hub targets local business owners who "plan to invest in their presence in the digital world" and seeks to "facilitate access to information and bring local companies closer to digitalisation opportunities”.
The goal of São Brás de Alportel municipality is to assist micro and small enterprises in commerce, services, and catering by “strengthening their digital presence, contributing to a more competitive and connected commerce". Moreover, one advantage of this initiative is that local businesses can compete for a non-refundable incentive worth up to 2 thousand euros, which is intended to accelerate digital transformation.
In order to ensure access to clarifications and assistance when applying for financial incentives, the municipality of São Brás de Alportel disclosed that it has signed a cooperation protocol with the business organisation. As stated by the Algarve municipality, “This partnership reflects São Brás de Alportel’s commitment to creating a more innovative and sustainable business environment, supporting entrepreneurs to explore new digital opportunities and strengthen the local economy”.
