The Lisbon club is the only Portuguese club among the 30 with the highest revenue last season, close to a fifth of the income of the Spanish club, who top the list for the second year running, with a total of 1,045 million euros.
The Spanish and European champions became the first club to surpass the €1 billion mark, thanks to a 25.8% increase in revenue compared to the previous season (€831.4 million), leaving Manchester City a considerable distance behind, who returned to second place.
The four-time English champion reported revenue of 837.8 million euros (a positive variation of just 1% compared to 2022/23), slightly higher than that of Paris Saint-Germain, which maintained third place, with 805.9 million.
Despite their sporting difficulties, Manchester United, coached by Portuguese Ruben Amorim, earned 770.6 million euros and occupies fourth place in the Deloitte study, dominated by English clubs, with six teams among the top 10.
Arsenal (seventh, with 716.5 million), Liverpool (eighth, with 714.7 million), Tottenham (ninth, with 615 million) and Chelsea (10th, with 545.5 million) are behind their Manchester rivals and only leave space, in addition to Real Madrid and PSG, for Bayern Munich (fifth, with 765.4 million) and FC Barcelona (760.3 million).
