The districts of Porto, Viana do Castelo, Lisbon, Leiria, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga have been under a yellow warning since 6:45 pm and until 6 am on Monday due to rough seas.
In a statement, IPMA says that northwest waves of 4 to 4.5 meters in height are expected.
In a note released on Saturday, the IPMA estimated that the state of the sea would worsen from this afternoon, having placed the seven districts under yellow warning between 3 pm and midnight.
