From Monday rain is to return with sunshine and showers forecast for the start of the week.

The north: Light showers and prolonged sunny spells are forecast for Saturday when temperatures are to peak at 18 degrees and drop to lows of 6 degrees. On Sunday it is to be mainly dry but with fewer sunny periods. From Monday the rain is to return again with the heaviest showers expected on Tuesday.

The centre: Some light showers are expected on Saturday with temperatures peaking at highs of 15 degrees and with lows of 6 degrees. On Sunday it is to be mainly dry with sunny spells and highs of 15 degrees. The rain is to return on Tuesday when temperatures are to hit highs of 14 degrees and lows of 7 degrees.

The south: There will be a chance of rain on Saturday however it will be feeling warm with highs of 18 degrees and lows of 10 degrees. Sunday is to be mainly dry but the rain showers are to return from Monday with the heaviest showers expected on Tuesday when temperatures are to peak at 16 degrees.

Madeira: The rain is set to continue on Saturday but there will be some sunny spells and temperatures will reach highs of 18 degrees with lows of 4 degrees. Sunday is to be mainly dry before the rain returns on Monday.

The Azores: A mixture of light rain and sunny spells is forecast for Saturday. On Sunday the rain is to become heavier with temperatures peaking at 17 degrees and with lows of 7 degrees. A grey and wet day is expected on Monday with highs of 14 degrees and lows of 9 degrees.
