Walking through the newly transformed spaces at Bright International School, one thing becomes immediately clear: this is not just a school — it’s a thriving, dynamic community where students feel inspired, supported and eager to learn. “The new spaces are completely Next Level” shares Isabela, her excitement reflecting the sentiment of many students. As we spoke with Isabela, Portia, David, Bohdan and Zain, students at Bright, it became evident that Bright is not just about academics but about nurturing creativity, confidence and human skills.
For many students, the sense of belonging at Bright International School is what sets it apart. “The thing I enjoy most about studying at Bright is how it's such a small community, so you feel like a family here” says David. The supportive environment extends beyond friendships, creating an inclusive space where students from all backgrounds feel at home. “Bright is really unique for me because everyone's really supportive. It’s lovely to have people from all around the world” Portia adds. This international blend of cultures creates a sense of unity, where students not only learn together but grow together, sharing ideas, traditions and perspectives.
Education at Bright International School goes beyond textbooks and traditional classrooms. The newly designed learning environments have revolutionized the way students engage with their studies. “The learning spaces here, with their different areas of play and work, you can combine them, and it just activates the part of your brain that makes you want to be creative” explains David. “You always feel cozy and creative, and it doesn’t feel like you’re just being locked away.”
These innovative spaces offer students the freedom to explore and work in ways that suit them best. Whether it’s using exercise bikes in class or collaborating in small teams, students find themselves more engaged and confident. “I feel more confident and creative in my classes because the teachers let me work in spaces like the exercise bikes” says Isabela.
Zain agrees, highlighting how Bright’s unique layout enhances both teamwork and independent study: “Bright is unique probably for the spaces and the small classes where everybody can work like a team or individually.”
One of the most striking aspects of Bright International School is its commitment to personalised education. Unlike traditional schools where students are confined to desks all day, Bright offers a more flexible approach. “Compared to other schools, it's just really different. You don’t have to be just at a desk stiff all the time. You can work in the pods on the mountain or the sofa” Portia explains. This adaptability allows students to choose environments where they feel most comfortable and productive. David, who previously attended a much larger school, appreciates the tailored approach. “My previous school was very big — nothing was catered to you. It was just one defined thing. But here, everything is for you.”
This personalised attention extends to teacher-student relationships, creating a nurturing environment where students feel supported and heard. “I feel confident because the teacher is always there, just with us, instead of all the way across helping many students at a time” says Zain.
Zain and Bohdan both emphasise the strong connections they’ve built with their teachers. “My relationship with the teachers and staff at the school is very close and almost quite personal” Zain shares, while Bohdan adds, “My relationship with the teacher is very lovely because they're kind to me, and I can talk about anything with them.” Portia echoes this sentiment, appreciating the encouragement she receives: “I think they’re really supportive, and they really encourage us to do our best.”
For these students, Bright International School is more than just a place of education — it’s a space that nurtures creativity, independence and a deep sense of belonging. When asked to sum up their experience in one word, Isabela doesn’t hesitate: “If I had to describe Bright in one word, it would be amazing.”
