According to Marketeer, Fujifilm continues to invest in the Global Service Center, located in Vila Nova de Gaia, a 3,000 m² facility that stands out as one of the brand’s largest service bases in Europe. This center plays a crucial role in improving the efficiency and quality of the services provided.
Diversification of business areas is a cornerstone of Fujifilm's operations in Portugal. For fiscal year 2024, which ends on 31 March, 2025, the company expects a turnover of 54.5 million euros, distributed across the Healthcare (29.1 million euros), Imaging (17.1 million euros) and Business Innovation (8.3 million euros) sectors. The target for 2025 is to reach 63 million euros.
The continuous growth in the country is also reflected in the increase in the team, which currently consists of 162 employees. Over the last six years, there has been a 13% increase in the number of professionals, the result of a consistent policy of attracting and retaining qualified talent.
Pedro Mesquita, General Manager of Fujifilm Portugal, highlights: “The new headquarters in Porto and the expansion in Vila Nova de Gaia are evidence of our commitment to Portugal. We will continue to invest in infrastructure, technology and people, ensuring excellent services to our national and international customers.”
Innovation continues to be a key pillar of Fujifilm’s strategy. At the Global Service Center, the number of endoscope repairs is expected to increase by 36% next year. In addition, the technical support for digital cameras and optical devices, which already covers 29 European countries, is being steadily expanded.
In line with its environmental commitment, Fujifilm highlights the energy efficiency of the new building as another step towards reducing its environmental impact and promoting the well-being of its employees.
