“TAP is actively working to minimise the disruption caused,” the airline assured in a post on social media.

The company also recommends that passengers check the status of their flight before heading to the airport.

“If the flight is confirmed, check in online and go to the airport in advance, avoiding taking checked luggage,” adds TAP.

Brussels International Airport today cancelled the departure of all flights scheduled for Monday, 31 March, due to the general strike called in Belgium and assured that some arrivals may also be cancelled.

The airport expects that a large part of the ground and security staff will join the strike, which is why it has agreed with the airlines that no planes will take off, as announced on its website, and has asked passengers not to go to the terminals.

The expectation is that companies will notify passengers about the cancellations in the coming days.

Brussels airport has also warned of possible disruptions to arrivals, recommending that travelers check the status of their flights with their airlines.
