Data reveal that 213 patients infected with the new coronavirus were in Intensive Care in the North region, with 137 of those patients being ventilated, corresponding to 64.3 percent of the total.

Data from ARS-Norte show that there are 1,175 beds dedicated to covid-19 patients in hospitals in the region.

On 4 January, 852 patients were admitted to an infirmary, which corresponds to a rate of 72.5 percent.

There are 16 health facilities in the North region: nine hospital centres, four hospitals and three local health units.
