The woman, who seems to be between 50 and 60 years of age, was found after 9:30 am by firefighters from São Bartolomeu de Messines, after being called due to a fire in the vehicle, the Faro Territorial Command of the Republican National Guard (GNR) said.

According to the source, the GNR communicated the case to the Judiciary Police (PJ), "currently taking steps to investigate the circumstances in which the death occurred."

A source from the District Command for Relief Operations (CDOS) in Faro indicated that the motorhome “was totally destroyed by fire”.

The operations involved volunteer firefighters from São Bartolomeu de Messines, the National Institute of Medical Emergency, the Portuguese Cruz Vermelha and the GNR, in addition to inspectors from the PJ.
